Agreement
These terms are between you and Eklavya Studios for the NomAI Android app and this website. By installing or using the app you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Who can use NomAI
You must be 18 or older to use NomAI.
The app
NomAI lets you log meals and estimates calories and macronutrients from a text description or a photo, using an AI model that runs on your phone. It is free. Features, supported phones, and the AI model can change. The AI features need a phone that meets the minimum requirements shown in the app. Manual logging works on every supported phone.
Health and AI disclaimer
NomAI is a general wellness tool, not a medical device, and it doesn't give medical advice. Calorie, portion, and macronutrient figures are estimates generated automatically by an AI model. They can be incomplete or wrong, especially for photos, mixed dishes, and home cooking. Suggested calorie targets are based on a standard formula and don't account for your medical history.
Check estimates against nutrition labels where you can, and edit entries that look wrong. Don't use NomAI to manage a medical condition such as diabetes, kidney disease, or food allergies, or to make decisions about medication. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition, or have a history of disordered eating, talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing your diet. If you are struggling with your relationship with food, please reach out to a health professional or a local support service.
Your data
What you log stays on your phone and belongs to you. You are responsible for keeping your phone and any exported backup files secure. We can't recover data that is deleted from your phone or lost with it.
Acceptable use
Don't use the app to break the law or to harm others. Because the app runs on your device, you are responsible for how you use it and the content you enter.
Open-source licences
NomAI's source code is released under the MIT License. The app uses the Gemma 4 model from Google under the Apache License 2.0, Google LiteRT-LM, AndroidX, Jetpack Compose, Room, Kotlin coroutines, and the Google Play asset delivery library, each under its own licence. Those projects keep their own copyrights and trademarks. Gemma, Google Play, and Android are trademarks of Google LLC. NomAI is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of nutrition estimates, or uninterrupted operation, to the extent the law allows.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Eklavya Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it, which is zero. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited, or your non-waivable rights as a consumer.
Ending use
You can stop using NomAI and uninstall it at any time. We may stop offering the app. The disclaimer, no-warranty, and liability sections continue to apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, except where consumer law where you live lets you bring a claim locally. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
